OK, we are in a room now, and the nice nurse brought me a cord to plug into the ethernet connection. [Who runs this place, the Amish?]
Scarlett is an absolute trooper. Her cast is from waist to toes, on both legs. She also has a bar between her feet for stability - I wasn't thrilled to see that there, but we knew it was a possibility, and it will keep her immobilized. If it works, I'm not about to knock it.
And it's purple. Royalty, people.
She's napping a little right now, which makes me wonder why we are still watching Elmo. And listening to Kevin say "I remember this one!" every time an animated segment comes on. Sesame Street is very green. It recycles.
So that's all we have for now. She's casted, but hasn't quite figured out that she can't move. That will be interesting.

I'm so glad she's out and that you guys are with her. She's going to be a trooper through this whole thing. AND please tell Kevin I was yelling that at Sesame Street yesterday! The animation where the little girl is yelling about cleaning her room and then her little animated brother walks up and says "Wanna bite of my ice cream?" or something like that... Anyway, sorry. Just tell him I can identify. Love you guys!!
Sounds like it's going as well as can be expected. And, hey, maybe that bar can come in handy. A new way to secure the binky? A place to hang the snack trap? Maybe it will develop a nice patina and Smith & Hawken will market them next to the gardening galoshes?
Hi gang. Just wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Tough three months ahead for the little egg, but she'll have little to no memory of it when she's grown. All the best!
John and I are big fans of the purple cast.
